Passenger Type Codes
Perhaps the most visible change in Galileo
360° Fares is ATPCO passenger type codes (PTCs),
which replace Apollo® PICs. By adopting the use of PTCs,
Apollo now quotes special passenger fares more accurately and
with exactly the code that the airline files.
Airlines file
PTCs that apply to special passenger fares such as government,
senior, companion, youth, military, child, some
private fares, etc. PTCs for the same special passenger type
can vary from airline to airline and from fare to fare.
To
find the required PTC, display fares for the special passenger
category. This example shows senior fares.

The PTC appears under the fare. In this
example the Delta PTC is SRC. The US Airways PTC is SNN.
You
can also find the PTC at the beginning of the rules text
display.
Here is the Delta rule.

And here is the US Airways rule.

For PTCs with age restrictions, be sure
to include the passenger's age in your pricing format.
If
the PTC ends with NN, replace NN with the passenger's
age.

If the PTC does not end with NN, add the
passenger's age to the end of the PTC.

For special passenger fares with no age
requirement, simply use the PTC to price.

Sometimes there are multiple PTCs that can
apply to a specific fare.

To ensure that you are using the correct
PTC, you can decode it:

Or display a list of PTCs for a special
passenger type:
